M58 Shotgun To Sniper Rifle Conversion Kit

A conversion kit for transforming a Double Eagle M58 (A or B) into a precision sniper rifle. The kit includes a slide bolt style reloading handle, a mount for a stock, and a longer steel barrel with an optional threaded end. Six total rails are provided for attaching scopes, bipods, laser dots, torches, and other accessories. You will require a 3/4 inch (19.05mm) steel tube with 1.5mm walls, cut to approximately 350mm in length. Cut the existing steel tube, which the pump action grip slides over, to about 240mm in length and place the leftover piece inside the buffer tube for added weight. Bend the steel rod connected to the pump action grip at a 90-degree angle, 55mm from its exposed end. You will need five dome-headed self-tapping screws with 3.5mm threads and heads no wider than 7.5mm in diameter. The total length should be between 15 and 25mm; I used 19mm. Find a suitable stock and any rail/barrel-mounted attachments from elsewhere, as they are not included in this kit. The mounts are standard sizes, allowing you to attach various accessories of your choice. The pistol grip was not designed by me, but rather found on Grabcad and modified for comfort and suitability. Although it resembles an AR15 grip, it is not interchangeable with one from elsewhere. Some parts are designed to fit together tightly and may require tapping into place. Two files are provided for the barrel end: one threaded for a suppressor or attachment, and the other without threading. Choose the one that best suits your needs. All files are oriented correctly for printing, so you do not need to adjust them in the slicer program. I recommend printing with PETG or ABS materials, using an infill of at least 40% and enabling supports for angles over 80 degrees. Parts with minimal surface area touching the build plate should be printed with a brim. To secure the scope rail better, I added a ziptie to the back, as shown in the pictures. This may not be necessary but is worth mentioning.
