M57 Firing Device (Fireworks Ignitor)
thingiverse
This is a smaller replica of the M57 Firing Device used for setting off model rockets and fireworks from a safe distance. Required hardware is 3x M4x35 screws and suitable nuts, 1x M3x35 screw and nut, thin conductive sheet metal, 10mm heatshrink tubing, a 9V battery connector and a female XT30 connector. Once the print is done and cleaned of burr and debris, two small circles of sheet metal are cut out and domed using a nail and a ball-peen hammer. These are then glued over the small ball on the trigger paddle and the trigger button piece and are soldered so as to interrupt the connection between the 9V connector and the XT30 connector. You may need to burn relief holes with a soldering iron to run some thicker wires.
