I recently started transforming my Shapeoko into a fully functional laser engraver, which has led to a situation where wires are now sprawling across a significantly larger area than before. Fortunately, the entire frame is constructed using M5 bolts, providing a convenient base for further modifications. This compact connector was specifically designed to serve as an easy anchor point for zip ties to secure wires snugly next to the bolts. After printing 100% infill ABS and applying acetone smoothing for added strength, I now have a sturdy part that can withstand moderate use, but be cautious not to subject it to excessive stress or harsh treatment.
