I'm building a reprap Wilson II printer and I realized I don't have any t-slot M5 nuts required. I couldn't find them at local stores. So, I decided to make my own in plastic even though I didn't think they'd be very good, but surprisingly they turned out strong and worked perfectly for me. The holes are not threaded so a little pressure and a screwdriver do the job just fine. I did a traction test with a portable luggage scale and reached 30Kg on both PLA and nylon versions (simple design, not rigid). The test was done at ~30 and 45° from the vertical axis. I didn't push it further as I almost hurt myself during the test... Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for any accidents related to this design. It's your responsibility to test it and decide if it's suitable for you. Long term testing hasn't been done. Note: For nylon, print at 101% size to account for shrinkage. Three versions are provided: 1) Simple version 2) Ridged version (a bit stronger but harder to print due to lower surface adhesion) 3) Ridged version with 8 pieces and a small 0.1mm raft (useful for printing nylon, make sure you have a layer height)
