M5 T-Nut for 2020 aluminium profile
thingiverse
This is a bit more complex than it needs to be m5 t-nut.\r\n\r\nThe basic concept is to use an affordable M5 half nut that's small enough to fit into the 2020 profile slot.\r\nYou will need standard M5 HALF NUT and thin M5 washer (I used A2 stainless steel M5 half nut and 0.8mm washer).\r\n\r\nPrint the part, insert M5 half nut into hex hole.\r\nPlace M5 washer on top and press it until it clicks into place (use pliers).\r\nAfter that, it will never come apart until you break it.\r\n\r\nThe plastic part prints perfectly without any support. The quality isn't crucial (I printed with 0.2mm slicing).\r\n\r\nThe plastic part plays only a guidance role and all the holding responsibility is taken by the m5 nut with the washer.\r\n\r\nUPDATE: some 2020 profiles have smaller slot depth, so I've updated it to fit with thin washer (0.8mm).
