M4Reactor Ikea Lack Printer Stand Parts Multi-Mix
thingiverse
This design is in development for Ikea Lack tables, tailored to make them functional for various 3D Printer enclosures. Several other designs on Thingiverse were used as reference points for concepts and components. This design has not been thoroughly tested yet. Key benefits of this design include: - A double-door feature at the front with an option to integrate magnetic inserts into handles. - Removable panels on the sides and rear, secured by a customized latch system inspired from another design. - Height extensions to accommodate different printers. - Tops, bottoms, and "joiners" that can be assembled according to desired height. - Wire pass-through capability. However, there are some drawbacks to consider: - Many of these components require support during printing. - The orientation may not be optimal for printing results. - Although the design helps retain heat, there will still be a 2mm gap between the leg and plexiglass in certain areas. A solution to address this issue has not been implemented. Notes on the design: - Since we're not cutting through the tops of our tables, I created a customized grommet that can pass through the plexiglass on the side. These are designed for use with a 1/2" hole and include an alternative version that can be used to pass through the top. - The design is optimized for 3mm plexiglass or acrylic.
