M44A3/M35A3 Inner Wheel Bearing Packing Tool

This tool is for packing inner wheel bearings for the M44A3/M35A3 2 1/2-ton ESP cargo trucks. The inner wheel bearings (NSN 3110013991253) are packed from the factory and assembled in a way such that the roller bearing cage is barely accessible from one end - disassembly of the wheel bearing will destroy important seals built into it for the truck's CTIS. This tool allows for grease packing from the end of the bearing with the smaller diameter in the ~1.5 mm gap between the bearing cage and inner race. The tool, when used with the proper grease, will force the old grease out from each end of the bearing's rollers. Other M44A3 owners have tried hand-packing the inner bearings in this manner to find the process quite time-consuming, and traditional greasing needles won't work well in the packing process. This tool speeds up the packing process for this bearing, though it's still a bit slower than packing the outer wheel bearing. At least it's better than hand-packing!
