M4 Turning Tool These are usually wheels, but they're not always necessary. This minimalist turning tool is designed for the Ender 3 or any M4 nylock nut with a 7mm width. It takes 14 minutes to print one. Removed the mini wrench. It's not very useful. I recommend using the rugged thicker piece instead. To install the nuts, use pliers to hold the bolt at an angle. If you press firmly at an angle, the bolt is less likely to turn. Use the rugged piece to turn the bolt down. Once you get halfway in, hold the bolt with the pliers right over the rugged piece. Sometimes, the piece will try to pop up from the nut. The pliers prevent that. Every 3 turns, I re-adjust the pliers position lower. To install, unscrew your wheels. Carefully remove the spring from each corner. If you gently push the plastic piece near the heating power cable away, you can remove the bed. The install goes like this: Bed -> Washer -> Nylock nut -> Spring -> (Cable plastic bit for the back left corner) -> metal frame -> nylock nut encased in the tool. The nylock nuts are installed into the bolt, flat side in, beveled side out. The bolts are very loose on the bed, that's the problem to fix. It also makes installing the nylock nuts an absolute pain, because even if you grip it tightly with pliers, the bolt can turn when you try to turn the nut. Someone advised to install the nylock nuts part of the way. Then put two regular nuts on the end of the bolt and use that for your pliers to grip. Pulling the bolt against the board will also help stop it from turning. Remember to use a normal wrench at the end to get the nylock nut at the bed as tight as you can without breaking. Otherwise, the bolt's just going to get loose when you install the other nylock nut with the tool.
