M4 Sherman MK.III with Duplex Drive was used by 7th Queens Own Hussars in the 9th Armored Brigade during Italy's 1945 operations. This model, originally created in Cinema 4D version 16, provides detailed close-ups. The zipped file includes BodyPaint textures and standard materials. Inside the scene are 14 materials and two bump maps. The package contains all necessary materials, textures, and BodyPaint files with no cleanup required; simply place models into the scene and begin rendering. No special plugins are needed to open this scene. Phong shading interpolation/smoothing is set at 35°. Note: In LWO, 3DS, FBX, and OBJ formats, Bumpmaps (Body_B and Turret_B) must be manually loaded in the Material channel. The model contains 404,518 polygons, 292,520 vertices, and 347 objects with 14 textures and two bump maps. Files are available in LWO, 3DS, FBX (version 2010), and OBJ formats. DD tanks, named after the Duplex Drive feature on M4 Sherman tanks used by Western Allies post-Normandy Landings, were amphibious swimming tanks developed by Britain during WWII. They functioned with a 'flotation screen' surrounding the tank and a propeller powered by the engine for water movement. DD tanks were part of Hobart's Funnies, specialized assault vehicles created to support Europe's invasion plan.
