M4 Nut Thumb Screw
thingiverse
Here is the rewritten text with improved clarity and readability: To transform an ordinary M4 nut into a thumb screw, consider this simple modification. Although knurling didn't quite turn out as expected in my initial print, it's still a significant improvement over a smooth circle. The nut should fit snugly, ensuring that you won't need to use glue when clamping down on whatever material you're working with. To facilitate the design, I incorporated a slight taper on the back side of the nut. This taper requires additional support, which unfortunately didn't print out removable in my initial attempt, further reducing its effectiveness.
