M3D branded filament arrives on compact rolls, wound tightly throughout. The final one-third of the filament can be so densely packed it struggles to feed reliably. By integrating this hub and rewinding the last third of the roll, the filament is expected to feed more smoothly and exhibit reduced stiffness. Small holes are strategically positioned within the collar for effortless insertion of a filament end, simplifying the rewinding process. Print Settings: Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: Unnecessary Supports: Yes Resolution: 200 Infill: 20% Notes: Minimal supports are generated beneath the pins connecting the two halves. Slicers may require manual cleanup of pin holes if they are filled with support material. Design Process: 123D Design was utilized for the creation of this design.
