M3D spool holder
pinshape
Experimenting with where to place my ink spool. It sits comfortably on top of my Micro 3D printer's edge, but it requires something to hold it securely in place. To achieve this, I need to extend the drop leg by about 1/4 inch. All the necessary parts are included in a single file; I've broken them down into separate pieces for easier printing. Print Settings: Printer: Micro 3D Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 250 microns Infill: hollow thick walls Notes: I split this project into two prints due to its size. For the stick, I used model-on-model support, while regular supports worked well for the barrel and clip parts. A raft would be beneficial for the barrel part. I opted for a medium print quality. Post-Printing: To keep everything in place, I employed electric tape. This solution seems promising for Tough ink, as it's flexible and can accommodate any bends or twists. However, I'm running low on regular hard ink, which becomes increasingly difficult to unravel around the spool's middle section due to its tightness. I've encountered an issue where my prints keep twisting; perhaps tilting your head to the left will help resolve this problem.
