M3D Quad Fusion Bowden Parts
thingiverse
I created a remix of the original Quaden bowden hat and Quad Fusion plugs by Sindarius, giving it a unique twist. I designed this version with plugs that can freely spin on the bearings included in the Quad Fusion. While not necessary for free spinning, I felt this feature would minimize resistance as the filament moves past the plugs. A minimal reduction, but every little bit counts! This bowden hat securely holds the plugs in place without requiring any screws. To assemble, simply remove the bearings from the Quad Fusion and snap them onto the included plugs. Next, insert the plugs/bearings back into the Quad Fusion print head and reassemble as usual. Below are the parts I used: a trip to Home Depot yielded the necessary screw and nut. Screw specifications: 1 x M3 - 0.5 X 30mm Nut specifications: 1 x M3 - 0.5 Nylon Lock Nut Additional components: 4 x PC4 - M6 Updated Bowden Hat design: December 2, 2019
