M3D Quad Fusion Bowden Hat ( Quaden) Remix
thingiverse
So I'm really impressed with the Quad Fusion Bowden hat designs, but I think I can create an even better one by combining all the features that I love from each design, and here it is! This mod reduces stress on the filament around turns in the quad block, primarily on tools 0 & 3. You'll need to remove the tool number/color sticker on the Quad block for this to fit properly. I'm not going to sugarcoat it - printing this will require a very tightly calibrated printer. Print at .1mm layer height with 50% infill, 4 bottom perimeters, 4 walls, and 6 top walls. For those small parts, I used 2 layers of brim with an 8mm wide width, 0mm offset from the part to keep them stuck to the bed. Then, just clean up the parts really well before installation. Hardware Needed: 12 - M3 x 10mm screws 1 - M3 x 20-30mm screw 13 - M3 washers 13 - M3 lock washers 8 - M3 2020 profile T-nuts 4 - extruders (I love the titan aero bowden clone! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MZKY9WJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 BMG clones work too, I've used both and prefer the aero clones.) 4 - 1.5A stepper motors (5 pack! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07THZQ7RG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) 4 - PC4-M6 PTFE bowden fitting 4 - 440mm sections of capricorn PTFE tubing (fittings and tubing in a set! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07THZQ7RG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) 4 - extruder/stepper mount (these are perfect: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3902330)
