Updated July 6th, 2020: The latest version of the Fan Shroud has been made modular and the air paths have been adjusted to directly hit the nozzle tip. Additionally, the heat shield can be printed, but it works best when created from 0.032" aluminum sheeting. Fully tested and functioning well on the Promega as well. Updated April 19th, 2020: The back design has been changed by removing the pegs that insert into the block and funnel air to cool the heat break more efficiently. The fans have also been raised 3mm further away from the bed to provide greater clearance and airflow around the bottom of the shroud, especially when close to the print bed. Updated March 9th, 2020: Testing has finally begun on this design and the BLTouch versions. The mount was found to be too high, so it has been adjusted to be closer to the bed, allowing for probing without a 3-4mm spacer. Additionally, the mount has been moved to offset the BLTouch Sensor by X49 Y0. Two of my favorite fan shrouds have been combined and the shrouds have been moved further away from the hot end. The heatshield tends to melt after prolonged use, so an option for the shroud has been provided where a sheet of 0.032" aluminum can be cut (available on Amazon) and inserted as the heatshield. The fan shroud should then be printed out. The back portion of the fan has also been cleaned up for better airflow. The BLTouch versions should be printed with supports from bed only. With the BLTouch Versions, updating Crane's Motion.g Axis Mins to X-15 (M208 X-15 Y0 Z0 S1) will allow a bed probe of: M557 X35:195 Y10:220 S40 (5X5 Probe locations).
