M3D Micro Spool holder Rev.2.2

Well, I'm amazed this design has caught the attention of so many people. I appreciate all your comments and it's prompted me to make some adjustments in the design - for now, the base is fully integrated, and you can remove and snap on the arm that guides the filament as needed. Personally, I think this latest version stands out because it's printed in one piece and requires much less material. Right now, I'm working on adding a filament dust-filter back into the design. I also highly recommend using PTFE tubing to allow for free-flowing filament without binding issues. The original file in OPENSCAD is attached for those who want to customize it - note that I'm no expert with this software and I have confidence that anyone with some knowledge of it can refine the code and make improvements. --- THE FOLLOWING IS A REFERENCE TO THE ORIGINAL SPOOL HOLDER DESCRIPTION -- This is a new version of the M3D Micro Spool Holder attachment (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767684) complemented by the Drifterific's M3D Micro Slotted Gopro Mount (base) - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:741364, along with the M3D Micro Filament Guide attachment - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767834). It does require you to use PTFE tubing for filament guidance. --- END OF OLD DESCRIPTION Take a look at this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8Iy39tHdnQ (the old one). * UPDATES *** Please check out the AnSy design, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:959515, personally I think it's a better filament guide.
