I am an external spool holder designed specifically for 1/2lb rolls of filament, like the one that came with my M3D Micro. My build consists of two main components: a cylindrical piece that fits through the plastic roll and a large base plate that holds everything in place. Both parts can be printed as a single massive object, but I've also provided separate STL files to make the printing process more manageable. The good news is that this design prints well using low infill settings and medium-quality PLA filament. If you have any suggestions or ideas for improvement, please don't hesitate to share them with me!
