Used and modified part from tsimon57 - thanks again! The latest version (v7) stands out as the best due to ample space for fitting on the extruder cover and the ability to screw the fan onto the front. Previous versions were extremely challenging to print, requiring a substantial amount of support material. In contrast, v7 only necessitates some minimal support on the "hooks." The primary objective was to effectively cool the extruder gear, as heat tends to rise from the heater to the gear, and after an extended period of printing, the filaments become soft within the "gearbox," causing the extruder to stop extruding. Utilized fan: 25x25mm, 5VDC, 6mm thickness (verified through measurement - it's actually 7mm). You can find this exact fan on eBay at http://www.ebay.de/itm/310877743698. To ensure seamless integration with my existing setup, I soldered the fan to a USB plug. This is because I'm utilizing a Raspberry Pi equipped with OctoPrint and M33-Fio, so the fan is powered whenever the OctoPi is online.
