M3D filament guide
thingiverse
Designed for seamless integration with my M3D Horizontal filament holder and M3D spool holder center equipped with a bearing and 608 bearings. Using a traditional filament guide was problematic due to consistent sticking issues between the bearing and sides, while rotating the unit also posed difficulties without constant tensioning problems. Switching to this setup has resolved all print shifting since installation, as filament unspools effortlessly from the holder once jerking ceased during pullout. Securely attached with a zip tie to the support leg, the plug has experienced zero issues up to now. **Print Settings:** **Printer:** M3D * **Rafts**: Unnecessary * **Supports**: Unnecessary * **Resolution**: .1mm * **Infill**: 25% **Notes:** Employed three shells due to the bearing's press-fit within the BearingHolder and the need to slightly spread the InkGuide for inserting the bearing. Additionally, ensure the bearing holder lies on its bottom during printing. **Post-Printing:** For assembly, instead of connecting components via post, a small amount of hot glue is applied to each side following seating of bearings.
