M3D Belt Puller

M3D Belt Puller

thingiverse

A simple tool for easily removing 2mm wide belts from an M3D Micro 3D printer or similar printers. I needed a pair of these tools to adjust the Z axes on my printer. To adjust the axis, you must pull the belt off the sprocket without twisting it, which proved difficult with my daughter's crochet hook. So, a belt puller with a square profile was necessary. I forgot to take a picture of the Z belt when I had the cover off last time, but I'm attaching a picture of the puller on the Y belt. For a picture of someone using a real belt puller on the Z axis, see the M3D troubleshooting at https://printm3d.com/solutions/article.php?id=208 Print Settings Printer: Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: Medium Notes: Don't print in the obvious horizontal orientation. The layers would be parallel to the top of the hook, and it would just shear right off. Print it on its side.
