M3D Acrylic glass holders

M3D Acrylic glass holders

cults3d

I have carefully enclosed the m3d printer with a protective layer of acrylic glass. I purchased it pre-cut into precise rectangles measuring 150mm x 140mm, an online order that cost me approximately 20€ in total - upon reflection, I realize I should have ordered five units to ensure a sufficient supply, as one piece was damaged during the drilling process. It would also have been beneficial to make them square-shaped. With precision, I drilled four holes with diameters of exactly 4mm each - I also designed and created a custom fitter object that can be used to accurately mark the holes. There are three pieces of holders that are strategically placed on the bottom and one side of the glass. The piece featuring a small spring is positioned on the opposite side. Once everything has been assembled, you can easily slide the glass onto the open holes on each side of the printer. The spring then pushes the glass slightly back, securely holding it in place.
