The M-346 Master is a military trainer aircraft designed for combat pilot training on front-line fighters with high-angle-of-attack capabilities. It was developed jointly by Yakovlev and Alenia Aermacchi, building on their work on the Yak-130. The M-346 reduces acquisition costs and improves reliability through its use of two engines and triple-quadruple redundant systems. The aircraft's aerodynamic design utilizes vortex lift to provide high maneuverability at very high angles of attack up to 40 degrees, thanks to a Fly-By-Wire control system.
