M300 Quadcopter
thingiverse
A high-performance 300-sized quadcopter designed for 3D printing enthusiasts, featuring a sturdy frame, sleek design and impressive flight capabilities. This innovative quad has been engineered to work seamlessly with 6" props and a Q-brain ESC, allowing users to enjoy a clutter-free and streamlined setup without the need for a separate power distribution board. A unique feature of this quad is its reinforced arms, each equipped with two motors that not only enhance stability but also simplify the attachment process, resulting in a more secure and reliable assembly. To further optimize performance and reduce weight, a camera mount has been intentionally omitted; instead, the Dominator goggles provide an integrated DVR function, negating the need for additional components. However, users may opt to easily add a recording camera mount later by performing a straightforward top plate modification. A valuable bonus feature is the inclusion of a 'split frame' file designed for printers with smaller beds (less than 10" x 10"), requiring post-printing assembly via glueing. A comprehensive Bill Of Materials (BOM) ensures users have everything needed to complete this project, including: Printed components (see instructions): Electronics: Flight controller (side pins, CC3D recommended) Receiver (X6R recommended) ESC (Q-Brain 4x20 or 4x25, 4S capable) Low-battery buzzer Motors with a 16x19 bolt pattern, sized for 2204/06/08 motors (1900-2300kV) Female XT60 connectors for ESC to Q-brain power leads 2mm bullet connectors for Q-brain to motors x12 Battery (1300-2200mAh, 4S, XT60 connector x2-6) Camera (25x25 board in case or smaller) Video transmitter (Vtx) such as Fatshark's 250mW or 600mW model Dominator goggles (with Rx module & batteries) Antenna (pair needed) like Fatshark Spironet or Bluebeam Ultra Radio (Taranis X9D+ recommended) Battery charger (IMAX B6) Hardware: Hex bolts (m3x45mm x12), m3x40mm x6 + spares, landing legs Motors: m3x8mm screws x16 Camera mount: m3x10mm screw RX holder: m3x16-20mm screws Nylon locking nuts (m3): 20 units Washers (m3): 26 units Household elastic to hold motor wires; may use tape instead Velcro strips for all electronic components except FC (optional foam or gel pad) Battery strap Propellers: Beginners: Use 6030 propellers, still offers impressive mobility!
