M3 tarantula nut

M3 tarantula nut

thingiverse

Hey everyone, I wanted to share this design with you. It's a remix of another web tarantula scan that I've simplified and scaled up, plus added a nut socket inside. There are two files: Nut Upper and Nut Embedded. The Nut Embedded design is way cooler, but it can't be printed directly. You'll need to pause the print at layer 74 and insert an M3 nut before continuing. You have a few options for this - you can do it manually, split the G-code, or try out some slicer settings. The Nut Upper file, on the other hand, should print without any issues. Here are my recommended print settings: * Use a small nozzle * Layer height of 0.1 mm * Print speed: 50 mm/s * Infill percentage: 100% * Material: ABS * Supports touching the bed Once your print is done, take your time removing all the supports carefully without breaking any of the legs. I used a tool like the one in the picture to get the job done.
