M3 Plate Adjustment Knob
thingiverse
These are some custom adjustment knobs designed specifically for my Anet A8 printer. I aimed to achieve a decent amount of torque on the screws without making them too wide and obstructive. They just barely touch the front and back supports, so I adjusted the supports downward using a drill until they passed through, allowing me to maintain optimal leverage with minimal modification required. These knobs are compatible with M3 screws and nuts, and all I needed to do was drill through the existing threaded holes in the bottom support plate using an 1/8 inch drill bit and install a jam nut adjacent to the heat bed. The process is surprisingly straightforward, but it's made a huge difference compared to standard Phillips head screws.
