M3 M4 M5 screw cutting jig
prusaprinters

I wound up with a silly amount of 40mm M3 screws that I will almost certainly never need and I keep running out of 20mm and 16mm screws, so I designed this simple jig to cut the screws.

I've made versions for M3, M4 and M5 screws, and I've also designed versions for cutting if you'releft handed (they are marked with an "L" in the file names).

These hold the screw firmly and fit over the corner of a table or bench, so that the screw doesn't move while cutting with a hand saw and you don't have to clamp the screws with a vise that might damage the threads.

Print instructions

Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 20%

Notes:

I printed them in PLA and they seem to be robust enough for the job. 3 perimeters probably recommended.
