M270 MLRS Pen Holder
prusaprinters

Inspired by a model I bought but which I was not happy with, as it required a ton of supports and could only rotate, not tilt. This model can tilt up and down and rotate. The tilt automatically locks in the up position and a small plunger button enables you to release the lock and tilt it back down.

The model is glued and screwed together from 10 parts. The spring for the launcher comes in 2 versions - 1 exact length and one with about 1 mm extra length for sanding to perfect length. I recommend dry fitting the spring to the turntable and testing the length before gluing it in. When gluing the spring, hold it as far vertical as possible to take up the slack in the mounting hole.

You will need 4 M3 screws (ideally 2x M3x6 mm button head, 1x M3x6-10 mm countersunk, and 1 M3x4 mm grub screw)

The parts are superglued and have holes to use filament as dowel pins.

Print Settings:
0.2 mm layer height
10% infill
No supports

Update, August 28th - Better tolerances to holes for assembly pins and the turntable axle.
