M25-at-layer-postprocessor The sh gets invoked from slic3r's post-processing scripts field. The pl is invoked as a terminal by the sh so you can type into it. Just put them in the same folder and invoke the sh from Slic3r. - In slic3r's preview, determine at what Z value heights you need an M25 pause to insert nuts or whatever, and remember those digits. - Export the file to gcode, or send to octoprint, and the post processing script will kick in, offering a terminal to enter the Z values. - Enter them separated by carriage returns then hit enter by itself to finish. - If nothing failed you will now have a gcode file that has M25 pauses inserted as instructed. Be aware that I use octoprint's event handlers to add necessary wrangling after the pause and before the print resumes. (Hence the octoprint gcode screenshot). Failure to do these things usually means a failed print if when you bump the bed during the pause. You could actually write them directly into my very amateur perl script on either side of the M25 statement but that's not my preference. No, I'm not a perl coder. I re-learned enough to write this script this afternoon. It's probably not great. Yes I wrote this for linux. No, I'm not going to try to guess why it might not work on other OSes. Yes you should comment/link here if you do. 2018-02-05 13:29:44 Updated the pl with less dumb. 2018-02-08 00:54:06 .sh that doesnt keep finished terminal open Altered description text instructions to reflect previous pl update
