M22 Locust - Light Tank - Globally complete
grabcad
Greetings GC community members, it's been a while since I posted, but I've finally managed to create this model. Certain accessories and hardware aren't included yet, but they may be added later. Please find here the M22 Locust light tank model that was used in World War II for defensive purposes. Produced between 1941 and 1945, a total of 830 tanks were made. It weighs only 7.5 tonnes due to its thin armor (9.5-12.5mm). This allows it to reach a top speed of 64 km/h with a range of 320 km. The tank is armed with a 37 mm M6 gun and a .30 Browning machine gun. I chose this model because of its small size compared to other tanks, and it took me from the end of 2016 to recently to finish it. Enjoy the model and feel free to let me know if you want to use it publicly. Note: some odd colors may appear after uploading, but it shouldn't affect the model. The shiny paint is a work-in-progress; I couldn't figure out how to get a matte finish. Files for Solidworks are included in a zip file along with x_b, x_t, and IGS files. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Sources for blueprints and detail work: http://drawingdatabase.com/http://www.primeportal.net/tanks/david_lueck/m22_locust/.
