M2 Electronic Enclosure Hatch Latch
thingiverse
The Makergear M2 electronics enclosure is an attractive black box without any necessary hardware for assembly. The lid easily slides into place but does not lock down. A designed latch secures the lid by fitting into a slot on the side of the box with just a quarter turn, eliminating the need for additional hardware or drilling holes. Furthermore, I've added a bevel to address clearance issues between the box and Z-axis, requiring printing the updated version with support under the bevel and using a knife for cleanup. The enclosure was printed in PLA using .25mm layers at 20% infill on an M2, with the STL file being clean and ready to slice. To use the latch, simply pass it through the left side slot horizontally, rotate it a quarter turn, and slide it up to secure the lid.
