The M18 is a hand grenade used by the United States military during World War II and the Korean War. The grenade was designed by the U.S. Army's Ordnance Department in 1941, with production beginning that same year. It features a cast iron body with a cylindrical handle on top and a fuse located at the base of the handle. A pin is inserted into the handle to prevent accidental detonation.
