Major UPDATE 3/20/2020 I decided that with everything going on, a major overhaul was necessary. What you'll find here is a printable kit designed to enable gas masks to work seamlessly with 40mm canisters. The setup can accommodate one or two cans, depending on your preference. I've showcased it as a single canister configuration, but feel free to adapt it for dual cans if needed. This kit consists of four essential pieces: the 40mm adapter, a plug, and two inner adapters. To assemble these parts, simply attach the 40mm adapter and plug to the inner adapter through the filter holes in the mask. I highly recommend applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly to lubricate the rubber seal, ensuring it doesn't wrinkle and providing an optimal compression for a secure fit. I've also updated the models to enhance the thread design, guaranteeing that all pieces fit together snugly. In addition to this update, I'm working on redesigning the dust filter adapters. Be sure to check out what the CDC recommends regarding these filters; you may find it beneficial to use them instead of the standard adapters.
