M15 Adrian Helmet
myminifactory
This helmet comes from a collection found in Scan The World's grandfather's basement. Similar helmets are on display at other war museums worldwide. The M15 Adrian helmet was issued to the French Army during World War I and served as their standard issue helmet. Designed in 1915, it was the first steel helmet ever made for the military and remained a staple of many armies until the 1930s. Initially given to infantry soldiers, modified versions were also used by cavalry and tank crews. A later version called the M26 was introduced during World War II. This object is part of Scan The World's digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures and artworks from around the globe. Anyone can access these for free through a website created by MyMiniFactory. Scan The World is an open source project that relies on community contributions, so if you have interesting items to share, email stw@myminifactory.com to learn more about how to contribute.
