M12x1.75 Bolts and Nuts
thingiverse
I've finally mastered the art of creating proper knurling! I'm planning to produce various sizes just because making them is such a joy. This actually makes great and silent fidgets, and I'm excited to share that with others. After conducting a test print, I decided to take my knurling skills all the way to the next level by adding more details. My Version 2 boasts a larger chamfer and coarser knurling for added texture. Version 3 takes it up a notch with a properly sized hex socket - and here's the key part: it shouldn't match the shaft size, which adds an extra layer of challenge to the design. My Version 4 has a better fit on the hex socket, featuring a slight taper that makes it even more precise. I've also added washers for added stability and sets for easier handling. To make these fidgets even more user-friendly, I've included clearer file names so you can easily identify the different versions. If you have any special requests or modifications in mind, feel free to send me a message - I'm always up for a challenge! When it comes to printing settings, here are my recommendations: Printer: Micromake D1 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 10 to 100 Percent I highly recommend using at least three shells or outlines for the best results. Additionally, nuts tend to hold up well with 10% infill, while longer bolts may require higher infill settings. If you're looking to take your fidget game to the next level, consider investing in a cheap tap and die set - it'll make a world of difference in how smoothly these work together!
