M12 Shift Knob

M12 Shift Knob

Designed for seamless integration with M12 threads, this product was created specifically to fit various vehicles. In my case, it worked flawlessly on a Subaru Outback with an M12 x 1.25 thread. The hole is carefully crafted to perfectly accommodate a Subaru's design specifications, while the collar at the bottom provides a sturdy platform for holding up a Subaru shift boot. I'm unsure how this would fit on other designs. Initially, the threads are incredibly tight, which was done intentionally to prevent a loose fit. However, using some tri-flow or other lubricant as a "tap" for the threads works remarkably well. This product is designed to be printed with support only around the boot retainer at the bottom. After experimenting with Cura settings, I found that setting the support angle to approximately 85 degrees would provide the necessary support around the base without printing anything inside.
