M10 Barb hose fitting
pinshape
I recently found myself in need of an air fitting for my Airpump, which had been sold without one. With time being of the essence, I set out to create a solution. Using PLA as my material of choice, I designed and printed the fitting. To ensure a secure fit, I wrapped some teflon thread tape around it before screwing it into place. As the compressor operates, it can become warm, causing the PLA print to soften slightly. In order to mitigate this issue, I took the precaution of supporting the air hose, thus preventing any pressure from being applied to the fitting when it was in a softened state. After utilizing the fitting for three consecutive days, I am pleased to report that it has held up without leaking. Please note that I must stress that using this fitting is done at your own risk.
