I needed a way to get more water flow from my rain barrel to my raised 4" PVC grow system than a single 1/4" tubing main pipe connection would allow. I also did not want to have a bunch of coiled up garden hoses laying around to mow around, so I went with Washing Machine hose (double ended female ends, and cheap). I could not find a Female hose to 1/4" tubing adapter at any local hardware store, but they are available on Amazon. I wanted something I could buy locally, which is a 1/2" NPT to 1/4" tubing adapter and needed male ends to connect washing machine hose. With this adapter and readily source-able connectors, I can now feed multiple 4" PVC pipes with a larger main trunk line. Be sure to use the flat rubber washers for the hose connections, round rubber washers may not seal as well. No more Tomato Blossom End Rot due to lack of water.
