I've designed a new filament clip as my third iteration. Noticing that my previous design had an issue where the end of the filament could fold under itself, I aimed to prevent this problem entirely. A filament clip's primary function is to keep the filament end from slipping under other parts of the reel, which can lead to tangles or knots later on. To see another approach to attaching a clip, check out my design at https://www.thingiverse.com/make:558401. This one positions the clip underneath the filament rather than above it. This new design maintains the "M" shape from my previous design while adding wings that prevent rotation. The wings are also large enough to keep the clip securely attached to the print bed during printing. The STL file for 3 mm (2.85 mm) diameter filament is called FilamentClip3mm, and the one for 1.75 mm diameter filament is called FilamentClip1p75mm.
