I am building a frame for my MK2a Heatbed, which measures 300x200. I use 12.5mm x 7.5mm aluminum profiles, similar to those sold by Alfer as article# 25332, to connect two frames and mount the heatbed. The same M3 screws used to assemble the printer can be employed for this purpose. To utilize the full width of the heatbed, longer smooth rods are required. This frame is also compatible with a 214mm x 214mm MK3 heatbed. A FreeCAD 0.16 source code is included.
