This adapter makes it possible to choose the next-size-up framelines when installed. It's particularly useful for M-mount cameras that lack framelines for a specific focal length. For instance, the Minolta CLE shows 40mm framelines when using a 75mm lens, but this adapter forces the display of 90mm framelines instead of 40mm. Testing has been done with the Minolta CLE and Voigtlander 75mm f/1.5 lenses without any necessary modifications. However, results may vary for other camera and lens combinations.
