A simple set of tessellated M.C. Escher fish. The "fishes in frame" file from the original design seemed a great starting point to create a puzzle. However, upon examining the original design's file, I noticed numerous double lines that required attention. I cleaned up the file for improved cutting efficiency and accuracy. The resulting file worked flawlessly: engraving then cutting in one session on a single 3.6mm plywood board using my Glowforge. The kerf provided sufficient room to slot the pieces easily without excessive wiggling once they were in place.
