This device captures pulse counts from electricity meters, gas meters, water meters, and energy meters. The processor collects all data and stores them securely in non-volatile memory. When the panel requests data from the meter, the device responds via M-Bus according to its current standard. The electronics are equipped with a special TSS721A chip that translates the M-bus protocol for communication between the processor and power supply devices during normal system operation. In case of network failure, the device switches to battery-powered mode and enters sleep mode until it receives an interruption from one of the counters.
