M.A.X. Truck - Trailer

M.A.X. Truck - Trailer

Finally, after almost two years, I have gotten around to finishing this Trailer. Honestly, I only started design work about two months ago. Life with a toddler... The wheels, axles, and bottom plate are the same as the original M.A.X. Truck (which you'll need to haul this thing anyway), so you can find those files with it. Likewise, the fifth wheel was included with the original M.A.X. Truck. Files can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3214824 I made the hole for the single screw that holds the gooseneck to the main Trailer frame pretty deep, anticipating some toddler loads on it, so M3 x 20, M3 x 30... whatever, go nuts. There is an M3 screw hole in the king pin. Putting a screw in there is optional, but it provides reinforcement. I printed the main part of the Trailer ("TrailerFrame") upside down. The goose neck is an odd shape, but I found that it printed best vertically with support. This orientation is not the best from a stress and load standpoint, but printed well this way. When I tried printing horizontally, I ended up getting warping away from the support layer. Granted, I'm running a cheap DIY printer, so there's that...
