The M-30A3 Mk.2 is the culmination of a year and a half effort to design a top-of-the-line battle tank capable of outperforming most NATO tanks. The Banshee name was coined due to its original twin gas turbine engines, which produced a deafening scream when accelerating. This model has undergone significant upgrades since its inception. Breaking down the designation, A3 signifies it's the third major redesign, while Mk.2 denotes receipt of the M-30A3 upgrade kit. This kit replaces the outdated Mk.3 autoloader with the new and more reliable Mk. 4, allowing for an impressive fire rate of 11 rounds per minute. In addition to its upgraded autoloader, the A3 model features a hydropneumatic suspension system, an improved driver's seat, and additional frontal fuel tanks, reducing space usage and accommodating the installation of remote targeting drones controlled via uplink. The commander now has access to this advanced technology. The M-30A3 is equipped with 130mm CORE ammunition using high-power propellant, while its secondary 25mm cannon can fire APFDS-T and HE rounds. The gunner also wields a 12.7mm coaxial machine gun. Moreover, the tank can be outfitted with laser scramblers/detectors on various points of the turret and hull. The Banshee boasts an impressive top speed of over 96 K/h and can traverse gaps as wide as two meters. It is capable of mounting vehicle tools such as mine ploughs and rollers. Additionally, it features a special pusher unit designed to detonate mines and IEDs prematurely. With a crew of three and weighing approximately 65 metric tons fully kitted and loaded, the Banshee also comes equipped with advanced defensive systems. It is fitted with the guardian APS featuring both soft and hard kill systems, capable of neutralizing a HEAT round traveling at Mach 3 from over 457 meters away. Furthermore, the A3 model comes standard with the Angel Wings system, a special variant of the French galix that can launch smoke and anti-infantry grenades. The smoke emitted is multispectral, obscuring the tank from visual, IR, UV, and radar imaging systems.
