In December 1941, the Japanese launched a surprise attack on Sydney Harbour, leaving the M-24 stranded in 56 meters of water. To honor the 75th anniversary of this tragic event, the Australian government granted special permission for the wreck to be scanned. A team of experts then created a detailed 3D model from an astonishing 2905 photographs taken of the wreckage.
