Lyrid Chopstick and Skewer Caddy
thingiverse
This was my first design ever created. It's a clever holder for those annoying chopsticks and skewers that otherwise scatter all over the bottom of your kitchen drawer into a mess. The design takes the form of two stylish lyre-shapes which can be easily connected together with the use of 6mm rods - cake support sticks or dowels. Print Settings Printer: M3D Micro Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: Medium Infill: Low Notes: I used yellow PLA for mine, but it might look great in a translucent material. http://amzn.to/1nKZpTp Post-Printing Connecting rod I've added bosses to take a 6mm diameter connecting rod - I use cake support sticks like these as they're cheap, but you can use anything you like. http://amzn.to/1mb4NgY Non-slip base I used a piece cut from some non-slip matting like this and glued it to the bottom of both parts, and it worked really well to stop the caddy sliding around when the drawer is opened and closed. http://amzn.to/1Kod7oT
