Lyra Erso's Commlink (Star Wars: Rogue One)

This is the custom model of Lyra Erso's commlink that I created and printed for my friend who submitted her costume to join the Rebel Legion. The design was optimized for easy assembly and painting. Some notable features of the model include: The upper and lower shells are separate components, with most of the parts requiring different colors or painting slots into the upper shell. Each part has a small flange that serves as a small brim and limits how far it can be inserted into its slot. The small knob on the left side that fits into the groove is printed in two pieces. Both the top and bottom halves of the shell have screw holes built-in for joining them together. A #8 nut is epoxied into the top shell, while #8 screws and washers are inserted from the bottom shell. There are two slots on the bottom shell to insert a loop that attaches this commlink model to Lyra's belt.
