Lyman Motor Mount

This is a custom motor mount that I designed from scratch to accommodate the "12V 45Rpm 370 Motor Small DC Worm Gear Motor Robot Motor Right Angle Gear Motor". It's specifically tailored for my version of the Lyman Filament Extruder, where existing plans were lacking. I'm currently working on a coupler that connects the motor to a cordless screwdriver bit with a socket attachment. The motor mount secures the motor to the rear panel of the filament extruder. Once it's mounted, I'll post pictures. Print it as is, keeping in mind that the side ovals are designed for ventilation, ensuring the motor stays cooler and saving on ABS material. Enjoy! UPDATE: The motor mentioned earlier is not suitable for turning the auger bit once pellets are added. I'll leave the motor mount up, hoping others might find alternative uses for it. Be aware that you'll need a stronger DC motor to move the auger bit. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Solidoodle 3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 2mm Infill: 20% Notes: The printed part is solid even at 20% infill, and the holes align with the motor. Minor sanding may be required after printing, but it's nothing major.
