Lvl1 swords (with sockets!)

I crafted these as a bonus holiday gift for my son and his best friend, who had been eagerly anticipating something special.\r\nThe swords are constructed from 3mm birch plywood, which was all I had on hand at the time - a testament to my perpetual lack of preparedness.\r\nDespite their relatively thin profile, these swords are surprisingly resilient due to their clever design and robust construction.\r\nThe blade components are securely fastened together using 8mm wooden dowels, ensuring they will withstand even the most vigorous handling.\r\nI embedded (affordable) jade and (authentic-looking) jasper stones into the hilt sockets, as these were the kids' favorite colors - a happy coincidence, given my unfortunate tendency to make impulsive eBay purchases.\r\nThis was a hastily assembled gift, so it's not perfect by any stretch. The handle could have been shaped more elegantly, and a few other tweaks would have improved its overall appearance. Feel free to modify and share your revised version!
