The name 'Luz' translates to light, but it's also used to describe the main street, Estrada da Luz, in the neighborhood. Benfica's Stadium of Light was initially opened in 1954 before undergoing significant reconstruction for the European Football Championship in 2004. As a result, the stadium now boasts a capacity of 65,400 spectators.
